Identity Crisis? Well, it is a dodecahedron, and a Megaminx... Unlike Andreas' excellent Rhombicinx, this puzzle is completely custom and 3D printed. Many thanks to Jason for prototyping this. Puzzles and kits will be for sale on Shapeways, and my upcoming website very soon!

Beautiful! I love the name!
Are you sure you have the link right? It takes me to the topic "Alexander's Star" from waaaaaaaaay back in 2003, in the General Puzzle Topics forum.

Beautiful! I love how, even though you've transformed the puzzle into a completely different shape, there is still a great deal of symmetry. I'm almost surprised this hasn't been done before - both shapes have the same number of sides, so each side can get a center, which should look relatively nice when scrambled (it will still more or less have the form of the rhombic dodecahedron).
The spherical cuts are also very nice. It could easily have been done with straight lines, but the puzzle looks so much nicer this way...

Wonderful I'm sure a full scramble would look very intimidating.

Edited a serious error.

HAHAA! So great! And the name is so perfectly chosen I think. I mean it doesn't sound like a name of something. But "identity crisis" really made me laugh. And the puzzle looks really great.
