Hi Twisty Puzzle fans, Happy 2010! You may remember Bram's Black Hole puzzle, that was also posted on You Tube and the Twisty Puzzle Forum. Summer 2009, Bram suggested a variation that has even less cubes, but which may be equally difficult to solve. Because of its shape I call it "Bram's Rocket". Bram's Rocket has seven cubes that move around in a frame. Like any combinatorial puzzle, the object is to scramble the puzzle and then solve it by getting the colors right again. As the paths of the cubes are curved, the cubes change orientation while moving. So the cubes not only have to come to their original position, but they have to come to their original orientation as well. This makes the puzzle very confusing. Watch the YouTube video. Buy the puzzle in my Shapeways Shop. Check out the photos below. Enjoy! Oskar Attachment:

Oskar, have you done any analysis of how this one moves? I *think* (and I could be wrong, it's very confusing to try to follow) that when a cube gets back to the position it started then its rotations all involve rotating by 180 degrees about one of the faces, which results in the interesting and unusual property that combining reorientations is linear.
