My Inverted 3x3x3 is finally ready to show. I have been hinting at in other threads ( here and here) for a while and was able to cut some stickers for it last night. A bit of a silly puzzle but designed with a few things in mind: 1.) I'm a bit tired of pillowed things. I like them, but sometimes you have to take another path. 2.) Just inverting it a bit wasn't satisfying. I could do that by just grinding down a DIY. No, I wanted to invert so far you couldn't start from a DIY base, inverting past the mechanism circle that the piece feet hold on to. So this is what I would up with. It is a bit fragile, but moves OK. Here is a video of its movement: Inverted3x3x3 Movement. Here we have the 36mm DIY cube circle: Here we have the 30mm of exterior center to center width: I will follow up with a puzzle building thread later. Enjoy, Dave

Be careful not to poke your eye out on it! Looks great! Did you cut it down too a smaller cube then add printed extensions on, or did you just cut into the shape to start with? -Mark-

Awesome job! I sincerely hope that a 4x4 is in the near future. A nice family of these would be pretty sweet!

Hyperbolic Cubes are awesome, but it raises the question: When are the rest of the hyperbolic platonic solids going to be made into puzzles?

Then you'll look back and think how serious the Inverted 2x2x2 is in comparison. To quote "Batman Begins" (with some modifications): "You aren't silly. You're practice!" Dave This line's been bugging me for a while, and I'm glad it's now satisfied. Although, I must say this didn't prove the 2x2 to be serious. All it proved is that the Inverted 2x2 was silly, and that this is a higher order of silly. Wow, how many puzzles in one day?

How silly! Silly puzzles are awesome, this just raises the bar for awesome silliness. (Or is it silly awesomeness?)

..and another highly aesthetic puzzle from Dave. It looks really stylish. Great! So, when can we expect the Inverted Void Cube and the Inverted (Holey) Megaminx?
Fantastic work!
