This is very simple puzzle, but as Tony Fisher said: "I think every possible puzzle should be made at least once however unexciting it is."

I like the table cover. Very nice.
And great puzzle, by the way! 8-)

What a great idea! How difficult is it to solve? I imagine you'd begin by one of the faces. How mixed up can the other two get? I need some time for this to sink in...

We need a void version of this. :D

Great idea! I think it looks excellent!

I wonder if it's possible to do a similar thing with a Pyraminx Crystal.

Aleh, this is not just nice, but I believe this puzzle is worthy of mass producing!!!
(more non-puzzle people will love it because of it simplicity and beauty)

:)

Great work as always, Aleh!

I am curious as to whether you were able to cut the core in a way that allows you to make two of these out of one Megaminx?

Why on earth would you want to cut up a perfectly good Crystal? :P

Very nice.

This puzzle is actually harder than a regular megaminx, because any solution to it can be used to solve the full puzzle. A bunch of common tricks for solving the megaminx can't be done, because they need more room to maneuver.

Nice Job Aleh. Will you make a Siamese version? You could call it Megaminx.

Arguably, two siamese "half minxes" would only be a half minx. This is really a quarter minx, but it's still one of my favorite puzzles to date. :D

Edit: Disregard everything above. Just picked up my minx, pictured cutting it down the center, and arrived at this. What a surprise! I was counting the rotational faces on this puzzle, and calling it a quarter minx.

That is a very attractive design. Points for thinking outside of the minx.
