This is basically a "double" Hex prism. I actually had the idea a while back and created the Fused Pillow/Enclosed Cube (link), but as soon as I saw Adam's hex prism, I wanted to make one in the shape of a hexagonal prism. So, this puzzle was born. It is a fused cube, so it's more or less two independent puzzles. If anyone has any other questions, please feel free to ask. Thanks!

Do you need to move certain layers for other layers on the other cube to move? BTW great puzzle. I love it.

Ooh, that looks really nice. I'm surprised it works so naturally for the fused cube :)

I love it. It's a really clever improvement of your previous design.

Nice!

I like the criss-cross lattice pattern. Very pleasing to the eye.

That is so cool! When I first saw the picture I thought you made a hex prism 2 from a 4x4. this is what you would call a double mod: a modificated modification.

Ohh, that's a problem. That completely baffles me...as in i'm not even sure where i would start solving that. It looks marvelous and turns great too, but i'm staying away from building one of those ;) Nice job.

Ah, yes. The white and yellow faces can interfere with the other side's turning. This wasn't a factor with the original fused/enclosed cube, but it is for this thing!

I can't solve a fused cube either, let alone this beast!

Thank you all for your support. I'm glad that I finally got to make this puzzle a reality!

That's really nifty! I can't see the fused cubes in it. I'm holding mine up to the screen, and it still evades me. But I guess that's a good thing! :D

And you say it blocks some moves with the shape? That's pretty intense. I wonder what you could do with those multi-2x2x2 ES things?
