Ah!
I haven't gotten used to that concept yet.
I'm going to be using Alumilite filler for mine.

When I do that, it always worries me that one day I'll be reincarnated as one

The puzzle looks superb!

I'm a convert to plastic sheet - I love the stuff.

Actually, it's Apoxie Sculpt and a lot of sanding! :) Practically the whole puzzle is done by sanding/filing. I start on the belt sander to take down the majority of the material, followed by a couple different files to get closer to my marks. Then I disassembled it and filled each piece with Apoxie Sculpt....... re-assembled....sanded.....disassembled to round the edges of each piece........ cleaned each piece (see below)...... reassembled one last time and lubed it. I turn the puzzle as I'm sanding to make sure everything lines up on all sides.

Yeah, I guess this answers my question.

It looks great Calzone! You even got the centers to be cut, makes it a super cube as well! ;)

I'm thinking 6 color, but not the usual 6. :) I have a few more 4x4 mods planned, but first I have to get going on my wait list puzzles.

Cool mod!

Do you use black Apoxie Sculpt? Or do you use white and simply paint it black afterwords?

There is no paint on this puzzle. I used black Apoxie Sculpt.

I had planned on stickering this with the shade shifting material, but the $30 price tag for 6 little sheets is ridiculous.

Very nice! I can't believe this was made with just putty. It looks like it was cast! Congratulations on both the new puzzle and your new toy. Both of which look very high quality, by the way.
