Another brilliant design by Adam. This one is the little brother to Drew's RX. It's a Reuleaux Tetrahedron, but a 3x3 version instead of the 5x5 like Drew's RX. As you can see from some of the photos, it's much smaller than a standard mastermorphix, and even smaller than a 3x3 cube in some parts. The size makes this puzzle a real pleasure to play with. This puzzle turns really well. The rounded shape of the puzzle gives it the appearance that it has very deep fillets, which make it even more appealing to the eye. BTW, the X-cube makes a great stand for this cube and the pillowed 7x7. Little fact from Adam: The corner point to corner point distance is actually shorter than the Rubik's Cube, but the centers don't need modification because of the tetrahedral shape. This particular puzzle will be going up on Ebay shortly, but I will be starting a waiting list sometime in January (not sure on a price yet). I have to catch up on existing orders. And speaking of that, for those of you who are on my current waiting lists, please bare with me. I ran out of DIY's, so I have some on the way. Another few days and I can assemble them and get them ready to ship. [edit] - I almost forgot to mention. The stickers on this puzzle are uneven. They are not the final stickers. I made these myself. Adam is working on the sticker template for me, and when I get it, the stickers will look much better (more even). [edit] - Video HereAnyway, here are the pics of the RMM... .

wouldn't this be RX MT's second cousin), the pillowed HM tetrahedron would be the brother and the pillowed pyraminx would be the cousin
or maybe i'm looking into this too deep
either way, great job, i wish i had one

Ugh, it never ends with you. This one is even better than the last. How will I ever live up to someone who can pound out new amazing puzzles every week?
And now I need to save up for yet another puzzle.
This thing looks FANTASTIC. I very much prefer it to the standard mastermorphix which I am not a huge fan of.

A beautifully designed mod, really a VERY pleasing shape. I love the way that the rotation cuts appear as curves on the pillowed surfaces to mirror the "pillow" of the Reuleaux shape. Well done Adam!
Your build quality is fantastic. Piece fit and finish are superb. Well done Flambore!
Do you mind me asking how long you spend on "finishing" the cast pieces of the whole puzzle?
Well done!

Stop it already! You build one new, never before made puzzle every week now! This might just be my favorite of all of your work. But I think that every week... Fantastic work by both Adam and you!(don´t know your real name ) Sjoerd

Drew's RX is not a 5x5 RX Tetrahedron. It is a 4 axis puzzle and more related to the skewb, whereas this puzzle is 6 axis and related to a 3x3. Other then the geometry these puzzles don't really have anything in common.

WOW! That is a very pretty puzzle! I especially like that you do all your new puzzles in white. It gives them a very pristine look.

Nice build! did you have this completely printed or is his casted? how did you get your faces so smooth?
I say my RX is more like a 5x5 because thats what I said when I was designing it, I wanted a 5x5 in pyramid form than square =)

Drewseph wrote: Nice build! did you have this completely printed or is his casted? how did you get your faces so smooth? This puzzle was cast. I spend a lot of time working on the masters. I sand them down, then use the IPS Weld-on, then sand, then IPS, etc., till all the ruts are out. Then I use the following sandpaper grades: 220, 500, 800, 1200, 2000. Depending on the piece, sometimes I skip the 220 and 800, but always end with polishing the parts with 2000-3000, depending on what I pull out of the bag.

WOW! Massive size difference! looks like the RX Mastermorphix is about 1/2 the size or maybe smaller than the original... excellent work! Maybe what I need is a designer if I want to 3d print puzzles, the whole CAD thing is very confusing...

Would you and adam be intrested in selling masters? This puzzle reminds me of the curvy mastermorphix which was a puzzle that I always wanted.

You would need to buy the files from Adam. After that, the cost of printing the parts isn't that much, to be honest. This is why I don't sell masters.

Is there anywhere to find a list of all the files he's offering? I know there was the 3x3 master files thread, but that hasn't been updated since September.

Guys. Take this offline. Discuss this in PM or something please. This requoting stuff is annoying.
Neither I nor Adam sell masters. He sells STL files. If you want masters, you buy them from him, send the files to a printer, and you get the masters from the printer.
