That thing was so small at the competition. You said it was still in production, so is this the final version of the MTv3? Also, what does RX stand for?

Sven, the pillowing is specific for that Reuleaux shape.
Great puzzle!

Very pretty! Perfect!
There are so many interesting different shape possibilities for this "super skewb" mechanism..... I hope we see more.

That thing looks great! I think pillowing is the way of the future. I personally love the look of a pillowed puzzle.

Yet another beautiful puzzle, it seems to cut corners well too, though i personally think it would have been even better with a kitty picture

Very nice! As others have said, the pillowed look is awesome!
So the one you brought to Westchester was SLS (it was kind of squishy, like it was made of foam), and this one is FDM (abs plastic?)?

Wow So the Reuleaux is a kind of tetrahedron but pillowed to a specific degree? I love it being so small! Especially in comparison to the V2. Sjoerd

Now we need one pillowed so much that it's a perfect sphere! I personally prefer the shape of this to the "regular" Tetrahedron. Less pointy and dangerous-looking. And I third the kitty picture request!

Is that a scratch post?
The 1st cat looks very photogenic while the second one appears to have better things to do...
I can't tell from the pictures if they are two different cats or the same one.

Nice puzzle. (no added value in this comment, but its true)
A question: I cannot see it too clearly from the pictures, but I assume each "cutting edge" in this puzzle is a plane? Do you (Dreseph / Puzzlemaster/ anyone else) think is possible to curve the cutting edges as well?
In other words, would it be possible to design this same puzzle, not with straight cutting edges, but with spherical cutting edges, where each cut follows a shperical shape paralell with its plane, with the centre also on the same edge tetrahedron tip facing it?
If its not clear I will post a sketch of what I mean.

I laughed when I read the new thread title I really like the master tetrahedron as is, but pillowing is my weak spot and you've hit the head on the nail with this one. Excellent work, and the corner cutting is REALLY impressive. It cuts through those corners like a speed cube! -CC10

I can't tell from the pictures if they are two different cats or the same one. Its the big box my PC came shipped in, the cats started clawing at the small handle and over time they made a nice entrance for themselves. Remzi (first cat) is usually the non photogenic one. Khoury (second cat) is the supermodel, however i woke him up for this picture, and he was not pleased. @Ryton Yes, but it would cancel out the reason for pillowing the puzzle. when you pillow something its for an internal mechanical abenifit (more room to put stuff) making curved lines will be possible, just make things a bit thinner, like the necks on nthe corner pieces.

Very nice--the shape is very appealing. As for the cats though, those are indoor cats, correct?

The cat on the bed looks very calm and nice. The second one next to the box almost looks like a deer in headlights in the photo though! Cute cats, great puzzle, stupendous when you put them together! I thought I had understood the master tetrahedron before, but now I'm confused a little. Is this kinda like a master pyraminx where the corners don't turn independently?

Well, I downloaded the Java JRE twice, closed the browser and everything and it still isn't working... I really wish I could try this puzzle out.

I am considering an attempt to produce them, a short run order, unsure of how many, but the price will be less than what it is currently. however, this won't be available for quite some time

I loved seeing this puzzle at the Westchester Competition. It was so small, only about the size of a Pyraminx. I loved how the black version came out. I think I like this one more than the white version, mostly becasue of the color scheme. You did a great job Drew! Keep building awesome puzzles!

I am the proud borrower of this puzzle! It has been very interesting handing it around-- people simply love the feel of holding it. Even people who don't like puzzles have commented on how great it just FEELS to hold and turn. It's a great design and execution by Drew and Adam. So I've decided I won't be sending it back. Sorry Drew.
