My new Quartet is finally here and works almost perfectly. It spins really smoothly. Its the first one of the serie, before the Master Tercet (three layer triangular grimace puzzle), the 1x2x17, the Master Sextet Ultimate (cant explain this... too hard), and the 1x3x5 barrel cube (also grimace). All credit goes to Lykwid because he's the one that had the idea and that made the first one: viewtopic.php?f=15&p=193652Although i do get some credit because i improved two things I 3D printed it with a sort of axis that makes it very easy to build, assemble, and use... and i dont know how i did that but it clicks into place most of the time. The sitckers are from CubeSmith vinyl sheets. I couldn't put photos because everytime they loaded, it went back to the login screen and told me to log in even though i was already logged in... so instead i put videos. - Construction and assembly: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nvIkHloj ... re=channel- Showoff and solve: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wNvJ2Pbg1nIEnjoy!

Is this available on shapeways? If it is, I really hope the master sextet ultimate is too

You're lucky beause all my puzzles are printable (they verified) so yes they will be on shapeways, but i will not be able to make a shop due to ... french laws or something, but i will sell some on ebay.
I'll make an auction soon enough dont worry xD maybe this weekend.
P.S: its kinda small to make the price lower xD. But it stays as fun. ^^ ----> the original price was 74$ and i needed to keep money for my other designs.

Hey RFG, while I have no doubts that you improved upon my design, can you show me where? I have some ideas to fix some things on my own, but I'd like to see what you did.
Congrats on the build, I made mine a lot bigger because I like bigger puzzles. My Quartet is 10cm to the edge and 4cm tall.

Well i don't really know your quartet's spinning, but i improved two small details: i printed it with an axis (small part that you put in big part) so no screw is needed, and i somehow managed to make it click into place... even though i dont know how I did it xD.
I dont think i made mine MUCH better than yours coz i dont know how yours spins, but i know i got an axis that makes me able to open the puzzles easily and that makes it unnecessary to buy a screw ^^ really its not much at all dont worry I guess yours is good. If only you could put up a video to show me your it would be great to compare.
Cheers,
Greg
Edit:
Mine's 1.2 * 3.5

I'm not worried, i doubt i will be selling mine. This big one was more of a vanity project. I like the axis idea, I just used a standard nylon screw for mine. I actually haven't sanded mine down yet, so it turns fine, but not quickly. I'll make a video once I make the tiles and sand it down.
