Just a second note of praise:
For many forum applications I ask the applicant to choose their favorite post and tell me why they like it (it is a great way to see what sorts of posts they would make as a member).
Just today three applicants independently chose this post as their favorite.
You are making quite an impression Philipp!

Showcases were made to order for my sketches of an aluminium profile merchant. I have examined many options make shelves, but you realized that this is the best option. Approximate counterpart can be found here. http://www.mtdisplays.com.tr/group-deta ... =SHOWCASESI ordered a Moscow in a small firm.

So, a new puzzle for you? How to store the puzzles in future? Maybe add a sliding cupboard before some other cupboards? Extend the house? (when placing extra shelves is no longer possible or neat)

Of course you could throw some of your collection away to make room for the new puzzles

The same problem here, not enough space to store all the puzzles. Maybe I should throw away some of the puzzle packages, some packages take a lot more space than the puzzles, but I suppose the value of the puzzles is less without the original package?

I suppose it depends on whether you are a puzzle user or a pure collector. I too have a lot of puzzles with their original packaging. I just know that as soon as I throw the packaging away, the same puzzle will come up on ebay and sell for an incredible price

I personally throw all of the packaging away unless it is physically holding the puzzle together. I don't have the space for it, and puzzles are meant to be played with. That's the same reason why anyone who visits is more than welcome to try any of my puzzles, regardless of their value.

In the beginning, when I was buying only modern puzzle arms, threw almost all packages. When I realized the value of packaging had to be some buying again.
You have to understand that the packaging of old and rare puzzles can be more valuable than the puzzle. On the package information, which in time will be important.
Why, for example, to turn the old cube 1977 Politechka to your friends? It is spinning. You can give them a good modern cube.
Packing away some of the puzzles in my collection is near or in a dark office shelving.

Gus wrote: I would like to visit to see your collection one day ... I forget you're UK based Gus! You should try to make it to one of the Midlands Puzzle Parties (MPPs) sometime, it would be great to have you there. There is always a huge selection of puzzles to play with ( check out some pictures from the most recent one), and as it's usually held in Warwick it isn't too much of a massive drive for you.

And Philipp has enough puzzles available to play. You almost should buy an item twice: one to store, and one to (dis)play

When I compare your two Russian 3x3x3s with this entry http://twistypuzzles.com/cgi-bin/puzzle.cgi?pkey=2774I recognize that there were not only 2 different production plants for that 3x3x3 but at least 4. Could you please help me with images of the packages comparable with the 6th and the 7th image of that entry in the museum? A translation of that face would help me too. Thank you in advance. Andreas

Also what is the puzzle in the clear casing to the right of the Power Ranger 2x2 in the third last picture? Is it a clear version of the Russian flower?

In the first picture to the left of the Wahn regarding the 3x3x3 Rubik's Cube in the plastic cylinder could you please tell me what country the cube was manufactured or assembled in. I've seen examples where the red side was next to the orange side in the boxed version but never in the plastic cylinder which was a pleasant surprise. Thank you in advance for any information you can provide.
