This is a project that I have had in mind for a long time now. From what I have seen, there isn't an official "hall of fame" type of recognition for twisty puzzles for ALL areas of twisty puzzles. I hope to create a prestigious symbol in which people would aim to be placed into. The "Cube of Fame" would consist of a collection of distinguished individuals who have made significant contributions or accomplishments in the twisty puzzle world whether they be designers, collectors, solvers, etc. Their autographs on a single 3x3x3 sticker, with their choice of available color and location will be placed on the cube. I plan to make a chart on the TP Forums showcasing the cube, the individuals in the Cube of Fame and a paragraph or two about their accomplishments.
As of now, I don't know how feasible this will be, nor do I know how individuals will be chosen to be inducted into the Cube of Fame. Right now, I can see feelings being hurt, relationships destroyed and I would like to avoid that as much as possible. Perhaps a panel will be formed and the acceptance will be decided based on a vote?
Please let me know your thoughts on this idea along with any suggestions you may have!
Ben
EDIT: I didn't know where would be best to place this thread, but ended up placing it in collecting as it would involve "collecting" autographs.

You've got 54 spots, so I don't think anybodies feelings would be hurt. I'd have a lot of trouble filling all of them.

You say "twisty puzzle world". You want to go beyond this community? Do you want to include/exclude speedsolvers/tricksolvers ?
The general problem is that we are still a young community. "Hall of fame"-things should be restricted to persons which have been known in their field for at least ten years.
