Not as big as most of you guys, but it's bigger than I expected it to be! All the images are links to a larger picture, so go ahead and click them to make them bigger. Full size images are 2576px × 1932px. Twisty puzzles are in this post, and other puzzles in the next. Rubik's Ice CubeI got this from a friend who had peeled the stickers off. I took off the logo with nail polish remover. Magic CubeThis is a TERRIBLE cube without screws or springs. It cost a dollar and was a cheap stocking stuffer. Rubik's CubeI recently bought this at target, the blue face creaks. Nothing special. Eastsheen 4x4x4I got this recently, and when it arrived, a face didn't turn. I took it apart and a piece was placed incorrectly. It's amazing after it's loosened a slight bit, and will be with me often. Eastsheen 5x5x5I got this a few years ago for christmas from puzl.co.uk. I solved it right away, then took it apart and rebuilt it. I tightened it a bit to keep it nice and tight, but it moves a bit less well. Rubik's RevengeI got this a while ago, and it pops like crazy. It's way too loose now, and will making a transformation into a different cube soon. MegaminxI got this with my ES 5x5x5 for christmas, also from puzl.co.uk. Nothing special about it, I had to glue on a light blue tile, but that's all. PyraminxI just got this from my mom's friend the other day. I scrambled it, solved it, took it apart and cleaned it. It moves okay, the same as any other old one, I guess. It's pretty beat up. Rubik's MagicI got this at target, and figured out how to solve it. It's pretty fun, nothing noteworthy, though.

Now, these other puzzles aren't twisty puzzles, but I own them and keep them all together, so here we go! StirlingFox WoodwormThis was my first take apart puzzle, and it puzzled me for quite some time! I got the best of it, though! . . . . . StirlingFox GatekeeperI got this for my birthday this year, and had it apart after a day or so. It's not too hard, but was still fun! . . . . . Hanayama Cast Iron BaroqThis little guy is SO much fun. He looks really nice and the moves are all graceful except one where it needs a bit of force to continue through. A nice, difficult puzzle. . . . . . IQ CubeThis wooden puzzle wasn't hard at all for me, but most of my friends can't figure it out. . . . . . Gordian's KnotI got this for my birthday last year and was playing with it for quite some time before I finally got a piece out! After that, it's mostly just repeating moves you've done to get the others out. I just found it again today, taken apart, and had a bit of trouble putting it back together! Now the load time on the page should be a lot less. Sorry TP forums.

So you got the megaminx a few years ago from Puzzle.co.uk? I purchased one from them a couple of months ago, and it's quite different. Without having used any other ones, I'm not sure how it compares, but it has only ever popped on me when I had it ridiculously out of alignment and went for a turn. The tiles are quite nice as well.

I think mine is a chinaminx. It doesn't pop terribly, but it comes close. During turns it'll lock up and the pieces will get close to popping, but I stop turning.
I deal with it.

Yes, you have a chinaminx. They work okay, but the popping can be a problem sometimes.

I see. I wasn't sure which one I had, but I had heard great things about the ones from Puzzle.co.uk, so I went with it. I'm glad I did in the end, it's a very nice puzzle, and I enjoy it a lot.

I only got it to solve, not to speed solve. It works for me.

But the images don't really link to the larger pictures, they are the larger pictures. Please change it before Stefan sees it. Thomas

Well, technically they're the larger pictures. I can go ahead and resize them all real quick in photoshop, upload them, and then link them that way. I'll have it done in a minute.

Yes, I think that's better. Currently the pictures in this thread total 22,5 Mb! But you don't have to resize them. Imageshack has already done that. Instead of Code: http://img19.imageshack.us/img19/4048/collectionp.jpg use Code: http://img19.imageshack.us/img19/4048/collectionp.th.jpg That will give this: Thomas

It's done. 500x375 isn't so bad.

(Incidentally, PUZL sells both kinds of megaminxes - the PVC comes with nice thin plastic tiles and is listed as "speed megaminx")
