I've decided to post a whole new thread for this fun I'm having. On this page I will list weights and measurements as I did them for the puzzles in my collection. If you have any additional puzzles that I don't have, feel free to send them to me and I will do the measuring for you If the year the puzzle was made is known it is listed. These are only listed where I have proof, i.e. instruction sheets. If any of the dates are incorrect, or a name is not right, please send a pm and I will update them. If you cannot see the photos, they are hereMy scale is a digital one like they use in the grocery stores to weigh your meat, and the calipers are manual type made by Mitutoyo from Japan. I'm not perfect, so some of this could be off by a bit. I'll start with my worlds: top row:M&S kball 98 g, 65.5 mm DBall ancient 62 g 71 mm DBall modern 62 g 71 mm WWF Masterball: 142 g 77 mm Hungarian equator 178 g 74.5 mm second row:KBall 142 g 77.25 mm Rubik's World circa 1982 132 g 76 mm Crazee world 130 g 77 mm KBall 100 g 66 mm Rubik's world circa 2006 120 g 66 mm bottom row:Rubik's Earth circa 2007 118 g 67 mm KBall Boxed with box weight is 232g unmeasured Crazee world with box weight is 208 g unmeasured 4 in 1 earth 188g 93 mm

Is there any sort of spherical skewb? I only see 2x2x2, 3x3x3, masterball, and whatever the top-right one is called.
On topic: Perhaps this could be incorporated into the database eventually?

On topic: Perhaps this could be incorporated into the database eventually? Give me time. I still have boxes and boxes to go through. these are just from my book shelf. Dave can take what he wants from this. That's why I decided to start a new thread. I'll add more as I go. Later today will be heads and cans.

I'm going as fast as I can Cans, Sanrio, Chinese made puzzles, and other's coming in a minute. I weighed all of them last week. Forgot to measure them so I did it this morning and then took Wayne's advice and went out on the balcony for new photos as it's a bit overcast right now. Seems to be working. Thanks! And even though I can touch type at around 90wpm, accuracy slows me down. Numbers too. Patience grasshopper. It's coming.

I'm not sayying anything bad, its just too fast to read it in time before the next one is up =P, slow down a bit, I know you have a lot of puzzles, but don't think you need to get them all on here today

There are no markings on these apart from the obvious. The puzzles that have an angular slide to them also have a hollow middle with a removable cap so you can use them for storage. This makes them perfect for holding those old Gilbert puzzles of mine. The cans with a horizontal/vertical slide are not hollow, but can be disassembled by using screws and a good tug. The Meffert's can is a 2x2 and if I remember correctly, when he sold it, it was advertised as a KBall mechanism. All of these are measured from top to bottom. Top RowBudweiser: 208 grams 112.25 mm Coke: 204 grams 116 mm Diet Coke: 208 grams 116 mm Sprite: 208 grams 116 mm Bottom RowDiet Coke: 130 grams 112.25 mm Pepsi: 118 grams 112.25 mm Mario: 118 grams 112 mm 7Up: 128 grams 112 mm Dice: 154 grams 110.25 mm

But I photograph them solved first. Now quit bothering me. I still have a few sets to go then I want to take out a box, weigh and measure the puzzles and return it to the cabinet before my husband and daughter get home!

hmm, am I bothering you with this post....... Well I'll stop bothering you, Good luck on finishing all the puzzles =D EDIT:don't answer this til your done, but the puzzles you can't solve, if you can solve a 2x2,3x3,4x4,5x5, well then any other puzzle wouldn't be embarrising because they aren't just simple puzzles, those and maybe magics and the only really simple ones ^^ cause you pretty much solve all 4 the same way PS:I can't even solve a 4x4 so don't put yourself down for not being able to solve the puzzles you can't, don't be embarresed

Bottom row: Space Master (Smaz) 2008: 166 grams I think "Black Rubik's magic" is possibly a fake -- It appears to look just like Dealextreme's 12-panel as far as I can see it, which is neither priced to be real nor produced in the quality to be real. TTBOMK there are no genuine Master Magics in black with that logo (of course, I may have just missed one).

Roxanne, thank you! It's a pleasure looking at the pictures. I like to see how others categorize and I like group pictures of those categories. Sometimes they tell me something about the puzzles that I wouldn't have known otherwise. For example I never knew that the other Star Wars puzzles are so much smaller compared to Darth Maul. Up until now I didn't know they came with Kellogg's boxes. And how come there's a difference in cubie-sizes (yeah, I know they're not really "cubies", but I didn't know what else to call them ) between the silver and the golden bump cube? Celia

Celia, I never noticed the size difference until you pointed them out. Honest answer is I don't know. Maybe Heidetoshi can answer for us. I bought the one from him obviously, and the other from a Japanese department store here in town so I am very very sure it isn't a fake. (and if it is I want my money back!)

Every face of the Mirror blocks have different sized cubies (thus the definition of bump cubes), the silver and gold are probably just shown facing in different directions, making the visible faces slightly different.

Rox, are the Meffert's Pyraminxes in that picture the old "solid" ones, or the new "Pyraminx II" ones which are hollow?
