Hi Twisty Puzzles fans,

Whereas several 17x17x17 have been bought, none of them had been scrambled. That is, until today. Aaron had the courage to scramble his 17x17x17, after two weeks of procrastination and another 12 minutes into his video. The scramble takes about 20 minutes. Even after 15 minutes, the puzzle is visibly not fully scrambled yet.

Whatch Aaron's scrambling video.

Enjoy!

Oskar

It's great to finally see one scrambled, but I can't imagine owning one, and never scrambling it. It would be the first thing I would do! :)

WOW!!! The puzzle looks great and appears to turn better than the other 17x17x17's I've seen. I think that is due to more time having been spent breaking the puzzle in.

The person in the video describes himself as a "very young teenager". He sounds like one too. So far, I've watched the first 10 minutes and he's covered so many different non-puzzle related topics I've lost count. And he's only just manged to get the cube back in the solved state from the checker-board state. Some of the comments posted even advise to watch the video muted. LOL!!! Personally I find the juxtaposition of a self professed "very young teenager" playing with a very "mature" $1600 puzzle almost funny. What I don't get... How did he afford this? And better yet, how did he get Takafumi Haseda to assemble it and sticker it for him?

Carl

P.S. Ok... made it to the end. Try to imagine Oskar getting interviewed by Beavis and Butthead or Terrance and Phillip. The juxtaposition here is just as amazing as the puzzle is. I can't remember ever being that young... and even when I was close to that young I never had $1600 puzzles, so he must be doing something right.

I'm aware of one what was scrambled before this (just it was not announced like this)
I know it, because accidentally it was fell apart, and it is on it's way to me. Because I asked to re-assmble it by the owner. ;)
