I recieved a CubeTwist DIY 3x3 bandage kit a few weeks ago.

When playing with it last night one of the sides suddenly went very loose, I tightened the screw so the ternsion would match the other sides, but now when turning it it feels really bumpy and catchy while the other sides feel smooth.

I've completey taken it apart, taken all the screws out, looked at the core and that seemed fine, and then put it back together again, but I'm still experiencing the same problem, if one side is tensioned to match the other sides it feels really bumpy and catchy where the other sides feel smooth, and if I loosen it to get rid of the bumpyness it's way too loose and looser than the other sides.

Anyone experienced this before? Is there anyway to fix it? Are all CubeTwist DIY bandage 3x3's like this?

That sounds like a core problem to me, like one of the threadings inside the core was ruined. I would say contact the seller and ask for a replacement core, OR you could contact Calvin and see if you can buy a new core from him and replace the current core with that.
