I have been searching like mad on the net to find a video or at least pictures that clearly show how that LanLan ball mechanism works. I have been able to find out how to take the corner pieces out (by accident! lol I was glad to find how to get that first one back in), but I would really like to see a clear vid on how this mechanism works for dis- and reassembly.

I don't dare to take it apart further than those two pieces after taking out the center screws as I cannot see how the thing is set up.

Just unscrew both center pieces, then you can take them out. Then disassemble the corners and the rest is easy.

Did that.

The rest is easy part is what I am uncomfortable with as I am afraid I will not get it back together Hence my asking Once I have seen how to I am more comfortable with taking it all the way apart.

I have seen the QJ, but that is VASTLY different.

Maybe this picture could help.

Notice the difference on the cut for the edges. One layer edges is fixed to the core.

One layer edges is fixed to the core? I don't quite get that I think.. Is that the part that is on the "thinner" side of that opening that I see? So the top half of the ball, the smaller arch in the side as opposed to the bottom half with the larger arch shape taken out?

If you try to turn it when it's half assembled i think you'll understand how it works.
The edges in the larger cuts (D-layer in the picture) stay relative to the core while the other edges move around. I´m not a native speaker so maybe I use the wrong words.

Ohhhh yeah I noticed that one!! The screw turns along with that layer.. I was worried it might unscrew on me so I did like 40 counter turns to prove myself wrong LOL!!
