Some time in the 1990s (I think) the official color scheme for the Rubik's Cube changed. The yellow and blue were swapped. Why did this happen?

And why does Japan still use the older color scheme?

If my informations are correct, it was not an accidentally change.
They want to search up for KO producers, and with a color scheme change what was not announced before, it was easier to see where the "old" color scheme KO cubes came from.

(But of course there is a chance that my informations are incorrect)
