I'm now on duty now on Radiology Department. It is a part of a hospital where patients will be x-rayED. Now, I just wanna share a radiograph of my Curvy Copter.

It is an AP/PA view of the puzzle with a factor of 40kvp and 1mAs. Thanks for reading. :)

That's a great picture and shows the internal workings in a new light.

And do not forget to wear a lead apron (or move to the control room behind the lead glass windows) when performing X-ray ;-)

I'm very glad to see others do such silly things! :D :D

When I was struggling to solve a rather special puzzle - the Aluminium Washer Cylinder:

I initially couldn't solve it so I got it X-rayed (much harder to do because it is such dense metal but if you cone in the beam and increase the power) and it looks like this:

You can see the washer giving it the name above.

Unfortunately, it didn't help me solve it at all! It took me another 2 weeks to work out what was going on inside it!

Next time: cut it in half, to find out what the internals look like

I'm extremely jealous you have access to equipment like this. I've needed this for "tamper evident" contests many times. Instead of xraying mechanisms I've had to buy multiple copies and then take them apart either mechanically or with electrolysis or using various acids / bases / solvents.

Sometimes the patent diagrams just aren't enough...

Maybe I should try putting my puzzle in the Large Hadron Collider here in Geneva, just in case the God particle is hiding inside. Might explain God's algorithm. :P

There's always equipment over equipment.

(Boys comparing toys....)

Do you actually have access to the collider?

(I've permitted access to 3-D reconstructing X-ray machines..... Now, that would be quite nice to see the internals of puzzles)

Nice idea, but I was just thinking of putting certain politicians in there...

But most politicians are too dense for the beam of the LHC to penetrate :!:
