Hi,

About a week ago I got a new a studio cube. I've read here that once in awhile the studio cubes come unscrewed. Does this happen often? How much of an issue is this? I'm not a speedcuber and I'm only using the cube as much as I do so I can break it in. At that point it will be used less frequently as I have other cubes. In the mean time is there any special precaution I should use?

thanks,
Mike

Maybe there where some problem with the core, or I don't know.

Hi,

It hasn't happend to my cube. I've read that it can happen sometimes in studio cube (supposedly the 3x3 studio cubes are essentailly clones of the Ideal cubes released in the 80's and they had that issue... and that the problem hasn't been addressed in the current mechanisim.) I was just wondering how to prevent it from happening. They don't arrive that way...they come uncsrewed ocassionally thru use.
thanks,
Mike

In the last years the mold have been modified, and there is a new kind of screw in the cube, and the centers are arched.
With the new modification it is almost impossible, that the screws will unscrew till shipping.
