This is the first proper dodecahedral variant of the Dino Cube - a classic 90s puzzle. Like its predecessor the Proper Dino Dodecahedron turns on it's corners, but the actual corner pieces are hidden. There are only the 30 edge pieces visible on the surface, so just like in the classic cube version, you must memorize the colour scheme or you might end up in an unsolvable state.
It shall be noted that Jürgen Brandt built a very similar variant but with the slightly different shape of a Pentakis Dodecahedron. See the separate entry.
