The Clover Octahedron with enhanced turning capabilities.

OctoSun is claimed to be the real octhaedral equivalent version of the Clover Cube from VeryPuzzle, based on the geometry of the tetrakis hexahedron.
There are other puzzles with similar concepts but not exactly like this, like the Clover Octahedron from VeryPuzzle or the Octacle and Octacle Crystal from Grégoire Pfennig.

This version is a "real" Clover Octahedron, meaning the "angle of interaction" between two turns that share the same edge (of the platonic solid) is the same as the angle of interaction between two turns that share a corner. So the pieces can travel all over the puzzle. VeryPuzzle's Clover Octahedron is cut in such a way that the angle of interaction between two turns that share the same edge is the same as the angle of interaction between turns that are opposite from each other around some corner. So, on VeryPuzzle's version, pieces are confined to three orbits around the "equators" of the octahedron, and the puzzle doesn't scramble.

The inventor uses the pseudonym "El Cubitero".
Printed in FDM system with PETG plastic on an Ender 3.
