This is a direct successor for the Maple Leaves Skewb. Like its predecessor it combines the turns of a skewb and of an edge turning cube although the edge turns can only be used when the skewb is in midturn.
Unlike its predecessor The edge turn not only allow 180°-turns but turns in steps of 45° which makes it more similar to the Octanova.
