This puzzle is a spherical Cross-Pyraminx Crystal, with all the moves expected from a normal Pyraminx Crystal, except with added free moving circular extensions in the centers.
The inventor hid the edge pieces to present a more appealing face pattern without despite it making the puzzle a little easier to solve.
The puzzle's weight is due to the fact that the pieces are not hollow the price ended up being about the same either way.
