The mechanism of this puzzle is a marriage of the Dogic and the Raptor cube, which of course is reflected in the simplicity of the name. Raptor + Dogic = Rapogic.
After receiving an FDM printed Dogic from Michael (Cubeguy314) off of Jason Gavril, he expanded upon that design. When seeing the Dogic together with the Rapture Cube (the inventor's own creation) he decided to combine them.
The turning of the Kilominx/Dogic layers are very good, with minimal catches. The Raptor turns however require a bit more motivation at times to cooperate. They can be very catchy and occasionally need the adjacent Dogic face to be rotated in order to get things lined up, but in the end its really not too bad.
