This puzzle started with the idea of "can you make a puzzle where the pieces exchange by rotating around an edge as if it was an axle?". The result is this very unique puzzle, with a unique mechanism.
Solvingwise it is an edge turning dodecahedron where only two triangular faces are exchanged per turn.
In order to perform such a turn one has to switch four levers, two per triangle. This allows one to turn the edge between the triangles in a unique fashion demonstrated in image 4.
One can also remove a triangle after releasing all three levers.
