The mass produced version with two different custom sticker scheme to expose the orientations of the circles.

While playing with the new mass produced Six Spot Cube the inventor realized there would be a simple way to make the puzzle a bit more challenging. Since the center spots on each face can be positioned in one of two orientations, he decided to make a "super cube" version. Rather than using the usual "Pochmann style" stickers, he wanted to do something that was a bit simpler, like the cube itself.
The first idea (images 1-4) was to simply add off center markings to each face with black dots at the corners of the faces, where they are split in half by the cut between the corner piece and the center spot.

That variant worked but there is no way to make a dot pattern that would be symmetrical on the cube. So the inventor came up with the idea to split each face in half using coloured stickers where each face would have a darker version of the base colour on half the face. This allows a stickering pattern where every edge has an unstickered face and a stickered face adjacent to it. The result is shown in images 5-8.
