A 4x4x4 with a hole that allows a reduced set of pieces to move during a slice turn.

The 4x4x4 Mixup Revenge has 2 slice layers on each axis that all allow for mixup turns in 30° increments. There are 12 pieces to each slice layer (4 edges and 8 centers), allowing for centers to mixup with centers, and centers to mixup with edges. This concept can be seen as a sibling to the Maybe cube. Please refer to the separate entry. Similarly to the maybe cube, the intersecting slice layers don’t intersect at 90°. They instead intersect at 86.16°. For this reason, the puzzle needs to have some level of fudging to function.
After a half-failed attempt (see the separate entry "Moving Hole 4x4x4 Mixup Revenge") the inventor designed this version. Here he allowed the center pieces to rotate in place slightly.
This idea was inspired back in 2011 from Carl Hoff’s progress threads about the Doctor Skewb and the Thorny Cube. Carl had also helped review and provide feedback on the different designs for this puzzle.
