Invented, produced, and marketed by Rudolph Destics. Patented in USA in 1996. Came in a variety of colour configurations.

This puzzle combines the 2x2x2 with the Equator. Therefore it can be considered as spherical predecessor of the Mixup Cube, except there are four additional pieces in every equatorial ring.
It is an extremely rare puzzle since only 1500 samples were produced. To make matters even worse this was done in 18 different styles. Because of this big number the images are distributed along two entries.
This entry shows these versions:
Image 1: Variant 1 (with two colours): Red-Blue (four pairs; four identically coloured corners are adjacent)
Image 2-5: Variant 2 (with two colours): White-White; Purple-Purple (two pairs each; two identically coloured corners are adjacent)
Image 6-7: Variant 3 (with two colours): Red-Red; Yellow-Yellow (two pairs each; two identically coloured corners are adjacent)
Image 8-9: Variant 4 (with two colours): White-Black (four pairs; no identically coloured corners are adjacent)
Image 10-11: Variant 5 (with three colours): White-White (two pairs; two identically coloured corners are adjacent); Red-Blue (two pairs; two identically coloured corners are adjacent)
Image 12: Variant 6 (with three colours): Orange-Orange (one pair); Red-Yellow; (three pairs; no identically coloured corners are adjacent)
Image 13: Variant 7 (with three colours): White-White (one pair); Red-Green; (three pairs; no identically coloured corners are adjacent)
Image 14-15: Variant 8 (with six colours): Red-Red; Orange-Orange; Green-White; Blue-Black (one pair each; no identically coloured corners are adjacent)
Image 16-17: Variant 9 (with eight colours): White-Orange; Green-Brown; Yellow-Grey; Red-Purple
Image 18: Variant 10 (with eight colours): Red-Brown; Blue-Orange; Yellow-Purple; Green-White
Image 19-20: Variant 11 (with eight colours): White-Purple; Blue-Green; Red-Yellow; Orange-Black
