From the outside it is a normal 3x3x3. On the inside it sports a novel concept of bandaging.
The puzzle is name after Sam Lloyd's 15-puzzle, the grandfather of all moving hole puzzles. All corners and edges are hollow and therefore allow 6 wooden sticks inside the cube to move along an edge blocking. As the sticks are as long as 2/3 of the cube's edge length they can stay only in two positions and always block one of the two faces adjacent to the edge piece they're associated to.
The concept could be used with different numbers of sticks but it this instance the inventor settled for 6 sticks.
