The Professor Square-1 is a true higher-order version of the Square-1. While most five-layered Square-1's only add layers in one direction, this puzzle not only contains two more layers in the vertical direction, but also contains two more edge pieces per side. The original Square-1 is a decagonal prism, Professor Square-1 is an icosagonal (20 sides) prism.
Furthermore, unlike the Master Square-1, which adds the functionality of a 2x2x2 cube to the puzzle, the Professor Square-1 holds true to the functionality of the original Square-1, adding no new methods of articulation apart from the additional layers.
