Five Treasure Skewbs designed to to fit inside of each other just like the famous dolls of the same size.
Matryoshka Spheres Puzzle was commissioned by Jeffrey Mewtamer. He wondered whether we could have multiple Treasure Chest type puzzles inside each other like Matryoshka dolls. This puzzle is a set of five nested spherical shells, each functioning like a Treasure Skewb. Six symbols a both sides of the equator indicate matching sections: star, heart, dart, teardrop moon and bell. Both the symbol and colours are Jeffery's choice. The symbols enable solving the puzzle while not looking at it.
Oscar and Jeffrey decided for the Treasure Skewb (and not the Treasure Chest) because the skewb is the easiest deep cut puzzle to be implemented since it does not need hidden pieces of the next higher order puzzle.
Image 5 shows the puzzle's outside in solved state.
