This design is a monstrum of a puzzle.
The builder used a standard 2x2x2 (edge length: 50 mm) for the core. He then built eight cubies (50 mm) and glued them to the standard core with 50 mm. The result was the core of the final product. The inventor then proceeded to build eight cubies (edge length: 100 mm). The inventor used 64 2x2x2s (50 mm) for the entire project.
He filled in all gaps on each of the 8 cubies with milliput which further increased its weight. The inventor did all this instead of using plastic sheets to make the puzzle sturdy.
