A 2x2x2 in a strange shape.

These are 3D printed 2x2x2 Ghost Dupin Cyclide transformations of mini Eastsheen 2x2x2s. They have a part turn solved state which originates from Tony Fishers Golden Cube, a concept which is labeled with the word "ghost" today.
All parts have different shapes. They are spray painted either metallic gold or metallic silver. The rough properties of the WSF plastic means the paint takes quite well though tony has lightly varnished the outside to help avoid it rubbing off. Unfortunately this reduces the gold or silver effect. The silver has become virtually grey though the gold remains good though a bit duller.
Since mini Eastsheen 2x2x2s are used as cores the puzzles are a bit fragile and not super smooth. The edges are rounded off a bit but Tony didn't want to lose the shape.
Tony has always wanted to make a puzzle this shape and has been fascinated with it for years. Eventually Tony reluctantly turned to CAD but abandoned it after a bad start. He eventually went back to it in August 2015 and got more printed for the Dutch Cube Day 2015.
Diameter: 50 mm
