A latch-based method to bandaged a 3x3x3. It allows a whole series of variants.
The inventor uses small images of keys and locks glued onto face stickers and edge stickers to indicate the actual variant.
A side can be turned if either the face sticker has no lock or there is at least one key adjacent to the lock.
The inventor has so far presented five variants:
Variant 1: Zero Cube (six locks, no keys)
Variant 2: Locked Cube (six locks, one key)
Variant 3: Bingo cube (six locks, two key on the same edge piece); Oskar van Deventer reimplemented this variant later with the Deep Cube which has its own entry in the museum.
Variant 4: Twin cube (six locks, two keys on separate edges)
Variant 5: Spiral Cube (six locks, three keys on separate edges)
Variant 6 (no image): Trio Cube (six locks, three keys on separate edges)
Variant 7 (no image): Freedom Cube (five locks, one key)
