Although the packaging bears the label "working puzzler" this item must be produced for the german market because the instruction leaflet is written in german.
After 2000 DIY kits of 3x3x3 and higher order puzzles became popular but this is one of the rare prooves that such versions even existed during the cube craze. There must have been different versions, differing not only in language but also in the puzzle itself. The book "Puzzles Old and New How to Make and Solve Them" (published in 1986) depicts a sample with blueish pieces.

The french version was named "Le vrai (the real) MAGICUBE KIT"
It is mentioned in the SINGMASTER CUBE AND PUZZLE COLLECTION as "Magicube Kit from Edimay, France. Completely unassembled. Instructions and labelling in French. Undersides of face centre pieces are curved rather than flat."
It is also mentioned in the November/December 1981 issue of Jeux & Stratégie n°11,
