An electronic device with a 3x3 array of lights on each side. It allows you to play many games, including two permutation puzzles.
This device is operated with sensors that can tell it which side is up, and can sense when you tap any of the six sides. It has an USB connection so that you can charge the battery and even even reprogram it if you wish using the development kit that is freely available from the puzzle's website.
It started as a project independent from the traditional Rubiks Cube. In 2013 the designer received allowance to add "Rubik's" to the name.
There are 18 built-in games and apps and more than 25 added in the developer pages.
