A mass produced 1x2x9 produced for Mefferts Jade Club.

This puzzles history started in 2009
On 18 October 2009, Uwe Meffert attended the Dutch Cube Day in Eindhoven.

At this DCD, Uwe saw the 1x2x13 puzzle made by Oskar van Deventer.
He very much liked the puzzle and considered to make a production puzzle of a 1x2x9 puzzle in rounded fish-like shape.
The number 9 was chosen since this is apparently a lucky number.
Since Ola Jansson had made earlier designs (such as a 1x2x5) on which the 1x2x13 was based, he was asked to make a design.
That design was ready on 26 October 2009.
The solved edges (image 2) are supposed to read "Jade Club".
Length: 135 mm
Width: 35 - 50 mm
Height: 20 - 30 mm
Weight: 90 grams

Images 8-9 show a version sanded down and restickered by Joshua Bell.
