A 3x3x3 with asymmetrically truncated corners. It has three rotational symmetries of 180.

This shape variant of the 3x3x3 is part of the series "Asymmetrical Corners". All modifications of this series are made by truncating an 3x3x3 on its corners. The truncations on the corners are neither regular (as in the Half Truncated Cube) nor half-regular (as in the Sharp Corners) but completely asymmetrical. All three dimensions of the cut go into different depths as the other two. The depths are 3/6, 4/6 and 5/6 of the cubes edge length.
The technical signature (40020000000000000000080010) indicates where to cut the original cube.
The members of this series where made for the single purpose to create shape variants with a specific symmetry which was not implemented before the presentation of this variant. In this case the resulting shape has three rotational symmetries (of 180) along all three axes going through two opposing faces. Because of this symmetry the puzzle does not change its shape when twisted into the checkerboard pattern as in image 3.
Edge length (of the cube): 57 mm
Weight: 120 grams
