A member of the Globall family. In this case it form an almost perfect sphere.
The Globall family is a series of puzzle based on the same mechanism which is equivalent to the megaminx. The puzzle differ only by the pieces which represent the megaminx' corners. There are three different shapes for these pieces in the series.
In this case the corner pieces were replaced by pieces which alltogether give the puzzle a spherical shape.
The puzzle shown here was the reinvented version by Zbyn?k Pieter. Production started in 2009.
A video from 1986 showing a soviet television documentary prooves that Aleksandr Ordynets already had a working sample in that year. He filed a patent with the number given in this entry.
