This is "just" another shape variant but one of the Pentultimate. Jason Smith, the original designer of the first Pentultimate, wanted to make such a shape variant back in 2010 but couldn't finish it before 2012.
The beautiful stickering scheme guarantees that the puzzle is equivalent in solving to the original Pentultimate.
