A puzzle defying all classification systems. The axes are oriented like a corner turning cube but the possible twists are enhanced in a very unexpected way.
The shape of this puzzle is a so far unnamed near-miss Johnson solid which consists of 8 enneagons, 6 squares and 24 almost equilateral triangles.
The enneagons gave this puzzle its name.
The puzzle allows eight turns which axis are oriented like a corner turning cube (e.g. Dino Cube) but in contrast to a corner turning cube 4 of the sides can be twisted in increments of 40° instead of 120° for the other four sides.
This puzzle does change its shape while scrambled but all twists are always possible and therefore it does not jumble.
This puzzle was inspired by "Split Jing's Pyraminx".
