Spiral Fracture

Spiral Fracture is a vertex turning pentagonal dipyramid with curved slices.

Spiral Fracture is part of the series of puzzles that began with Fracture-10, and it has the same shape as that puzzle, namely a pentagonal dipyramid. However, Spiral Fracture uses curved cuts and a new set of interior parts to allow 45 degree turns. This lets edge pieces and face pieces exchange places, allowing the puzzle to shape shift and increasing the difficulty. The 45 degree turning capability is very similar to that seen in the Compound Fracture puzzle, but by using curved cuts, Spiral Fracture retains true dipyramid geometry, and all five axes of rotation are available.
It has the same size as Fracture-10 and Diamond Delight:
Short edge length: 51 mm
Long edge length: 74 mm
