This is probably the only octagon which was ever produced under the license of Ideal Toy Corporation back in the eighties. Its rarity is shown by the Rubiks logo on the puzzle. It was produced by the Spanish firm MAKO.
This special sample from the collection of Georges Helm is even more valuable because the original package is still sealed.
The year given here is not sure but an upper bound.
