A 2x2x2 with an additional layer of pieces.

This puzzle is a 2x2x2 with an additional layer of pieces on every side.
This puzzle represents a subset of the Crazy 4x4x4: It has four layers and the pieces of the theoretical inner 2x2x2 are visible as are the known face pieces of any 4x4x4.
There are several similar but different puzzles: Without the inner pieces it would be identical to the Babyface Cube or a 2x2x2 Cross Cube. It is similar to Lolo's Octahedron but the inner pieces of the Windows Cube are have a visible orientation.
Although the puzzle was designed by Nikola Tutic it is the last puzzle the now-late Frank Schwartz conceived, assembled and stickered.
