A Sudoku 4x4x4 which uses colors instead of numbers.
Shortly after the game Sudoku became popular the 3x3x3-variants with numbers 1-9 appeared.
The creator of this new variant was displeased with the concept of a 3x3x3-Sudoku and therefore changed two things: First he switched over to a 4x4x4. Second he used colors because he thought that the orientation of the numbers make solving a 3x3x3 sudoku to easy.
The result is a 4x4x4 with 16 different colors. It is known that this variant has several solutions but it is unknown how many are there exactly.
