the axis system of a Square-1 twisted inside of the solid like on every other "axised" puzzle.
Shortly after its invention the "Axis Cube" (a variant of the 3x3x3) became one the most popular shape transformations of anything with hexahedral shape. The rule for all of these variants is to rotate the axis system inside of the solid by 60°.
In this case this rule is applied to a Square-1. Since the Square-1 is not symmetric regarding corner twists, the resulting puzzle looks rather unsymmetrical compared with the original Axis Cube.
