A hexagonal prism 3x3x3 truncated down into cylindrical shape.
This can be viewed as an "axised" cylindrical 3x3x3. In the middle of the circular side there is not a face of the 3x3x3 but a corner. The builder made it by building a hexagonal prism 3x3x3 and truncating it into this cylindrical shape.
In 2008 Adam Cowan offered STL-files (CAD-files in printable format) for this modification of a 3x3x3 but no sample was subsequently published. Claus Wenicker made a sample but never revealed it until Mr. Perez published his work in 2011.
