The inventor glued cubies on the edges and faces of a 3x3x3. Together with the reduced stickers on the newly created inner faces this leads to a look as if one has taken a 5x5x5 and taken out corners, X-Faces and wings. This look resembles the Nested Cube from Oskar van Deventer although that is one has a more radical approach.
