The first working prototype to break the border (11x11x11) set by the Verdes patent.

In November 2009 (a few eeks of Oskar van Deventer presented his DESIGN for the 17x17x17) the inventor presented this working 12x12x12. Without the inspirating patent by Verdes (which goes up to 11x11x11) designing of this puzzle would have been impossible.
It has an edge length of 102mm.
It weighs 630 grams.
It consists of 764 parts.
