Master Axis Cube

Click a thumbnail to see its larger version and description.
The concept of the axis cube applied to a 4x4x4.

Like the other axis-transformations this puzzle can be made by truncating the 4x4x4 down to a hexagonal dipyramid and afterwards extending the remaining original faces. Another explanation is: rotate the axis system inside the cube by 60 around an axis going through opposite corners.
The images shown here steem from a duplicate made by Kyler van der Gaag.
Beginning in 2015 a mass produced version became available which is named "Aosu King Kong Cube". It was produced in black, white, light pink, light blue and teal.
Edge length: 63 mm
Weight: 163 grams

Another mass produced version without stickers named "Transformers Cube" followed later.
Edge length: 66 mm
Weight: 168 grams
